got bored... wanted to do sumthing to my heli..so i polsihed my tail boom,i really wanted to paint it so it was easyer to see the back of the heli, but after painting the tail fins bright colors didnt help, i figured a shinney mirror finish would be easy to see! I dont know yet, havnt tried it out yet, so let me know...LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

It looks pretty good actually I do like the new Align blue one though.

I lose orientation with my 450 sometimes but I have become very good at recovering. Crashed it 3 months ago last I was doing inverted piros about 4' off the ground, stopped and it tilted a little so I corrected. Piece of blades everywhere it was over concrete... lol

I don't have orientation problems with my 600n though.

I painted mine yellow and the fins yellow, yellow is very visable in the air. Red is not a good color for visability.

UPDATE! flew it today for a few tanks, actually worked really well,at about 100-150 yards its still easy to see the boom, especially when the sun was out, it always catches your eye its like it "flikers" like a light...kinda neet, the only draw back i found is the oil in the fuel deffinatly dualed it out a little, but wiping it off shined it right back up. Ill get some pics of it tommorow in the air

louk,

Your heli looks very nice and clean job with the wires. On the second picture through the frame hole it looks like a wire is in there that has rubbed, over the main gear. Am I just trippin?

i think its just some heat shrink tubing he put on there for protection from the carbon fiber frame, and its pulled back showing the red/orange/brown servo lead, which dose look like bair wires

and thanks for jackin my post louk, with your overly sexy trex!! j/k!

U got it

and no its not bare wires. Its just blue tubing that yes is pulled back. I check my wires all the time to make sure nothing is rubbing and I tie them back to keep them up and off of any thing moving. Thanks a lot and lets see them pics

apparently people run into problems with polished booms.

they seem to disapear in the sky, making it really hard for orientation.

yoshgixxer,

Kinda reminds me of my GSXR 1000 with a polished swingarm! Great job. Does it have a Yoshimura pipe too?

Sorry louk05, that blue just looks like the old 450SE IMO. I'd go with the polished or standard myself.

You

would really have to see it in person to really see it. It looks nothing like the 450. Its a deeper blue. I think it looks very nice. And how about that 1000. Is it fast.LOL I have a ZX10R. its very fast. I have a lot of money in it as well. You think my heli is nice and I spend a lot of money on it. You should see my bike. Its all go and some show. I like getting low in turns and riding hard. I can do wheelies but there is nothing like hitting turns at 170+ with your knee dragin.

no but if yoshi made a pipe for it id have it!and how about maybe a stunt worx crash cage! that would be nice! i love riding too, but i ride my streetbikes like uni cycles....always on one wheel!!! now if i can figure out how to ride a wheelie on my 600 using the tail blades as the back wheel that would be cool

oh yea if any ones wondering how to do it, just take your stock boom and soak it in some draino for 10 minutes or so then clean it with a sos pad, then just stroke your boom with polish till its shiney! haha
