On the bigger birds I used to like flying little to no expo. Today test flying with 10% Expo on the Dx7 this bird seemed like it needed a bit more. And yes, I know Expo is a matter of preference. I'm just curious what people are typically using on a 400.

BTW, its a Blade 400 - 65mg's - GY401 - 9257 - 10a BEC - DX7

i always start testing expo at 20% softer. then go from there. its a close starting point for me anyway

Aile 90% (D/R) +5% Expo
Elev 90% (D/R) +5% Expo
Rudd 100% (D/R) INH Expo

I learned to fly it with 100%/INH across the board but found my hovers to be less than smooth. After lots of testing, the settings above gave me the right balance between good FFF reponse and smooth hovers.

I dont use any expo,I like the heli very quick!, it is hard to see out of my goggles sometimes!
