Anyone try a Weston RH mount pipe on their Fury?

If so, was the fit ok?

It fits with no problems as it comes. Most folks put a brace on the rear section to keep the "header" from breaking though.

Does it look OK ?

Hi Guys

I use a weston pipe on my R30 with a forward facing engine so the pipe starts a little further forward and looks fine on the chopper. On the Fury the pipe would start closer to the back of the chopper and then stick out well past the rear. Some of the Hatori pipes extend forward of the engine and might look more balanced or the MP that goes up at an angle.

Does the weston pipe look OK on the Fury and does the exhaust stub clear the skids ?

Man, I asked the same question at my field and I thought they were going to break my arm or something. The response I got was " westons are for raptors" and the only thing I was "allowed" to fly out there with on a fury with an os61wc was a musle pipe. It was designed and tuned for that particular engine. Im running cp15% and its making plenty of power for what my skills require.

The Weston was the only muffler other than the nitro pipe from MIniature that I could get to turn on my Webra 61 P5. For the money, the Weston is excellent and come in left and right hand 60 versions.

BIGRCR is correct, Weston makes left and right hand pipes so they will work on X-Cells and Raptors just order what you need, they make about 20 different pipes and they are very powerful.

Hi guys

My LHS has westons for the Fury and that's it. The muscle pipe looks very nice on the net, but i have never seen one for real. Does it only work on high nitro.

I only use CP 10% on my R30 and weston pipe and it is great. I would like to use the same fuel on the fury.

Does the weston pipe stick out tooooo far on the fury ?

The Weston makes great power on 10-15% nitro as well as high nitro. The muffler does stick back a bit on the Fury or X-Cell 60, but this has never been an issue for me.

Thanks for all the info.
Since I bought a used Fury with the 80 upgrade already installed I went ahead and put the YS80 w/Hatori YS80 pipe I had in waiting in it.
Man what a fun heli. I like it so much that I may get another Fury and put a 60 in it. If I do I'll go with the Weston pipe for sure.

BTW The Weston is kick arse on a Sceadu OS50 combo!!!
