hi chaps,
its probably me being thick but i can't find whats wrong.

Flips need right cyclic + left tail
loops scew to left
forward rolls stop.
backwards roll are very interesting.

flying wise i don't think its me cos my rappy is straight as ever.
have checked everything 50 times , rebuild from top bearing up 3 times.
iv'e told myself a million times not to exagerate.!
C of G seems normal.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PIG.
i should be enjoying this heli not putting it back in the car and flying a raptor.
gis a clue

did you triplecheck that the 4 bellcranks are
in their proper holes? I believe that the
instructions have the rod lengths incorrectly
specified. You should have a perfectly level
swash.

Cyclic interaction

Sounds like you've got some interaction happening.

My Milli II had a bit too. Check your pushrods and bellcranks to be sure
everything is at 90 degrees and level at mid stick (for 3D). Then fly it.

Make sure your mixes are off, and that swash timing is zeroed out.

If it still doesn't fly true buy the GW tool from Ron Lund and a set of large
servo wheels for whatever brand you fly. Use the tool to make each INDIVIDUAL pushrod 90 degrees to the center of the servo wheel.

Now test fly it. Your loops should be perfect with zero mixing or swash timing.

Tightening up your Tx gimbles can help too, but if your Raptor loops fine this won't help.

With the closed loop control system of the Futura you need to make VERY sure the : (1)all four balls on the servo arms are the same distance from center. (2) The two rocking servos cradles are level (with each other)when the collective servo is in the middle of it's travel. (3) The 4 bellcranks are at 90 degrees to the M/R shaft when the collective is centered and the cradles are level ( if you get the feeling we're moving from the collective servo and going to the swash...we are!). (4) The swash is in the center of it's travel and perfectly horizontal when the ...well...you get the picture! I still use the old servo connection from the roll servo to the elevator servo used on the old Gold Futura...I like the fact that I can "lock" the setting between the two rocking servos, it's the place I see the most possiblity for interaction in the control system...no one else uses it though...Gary Wright makes some tools that make setting the control rods much simpler and he doesn't lock the servos together...and he's a much more acomplished pilot than myself! It sounds like you have a left ailiron bias in your cyclic control system...the T/R is just a "sympathetic" response to the unwanted roll coupling. Chris

thanks everyone for the advise, i put 2 ozs of lead up front and increase the gyro gain yesterday it seemed better but i think its just masking the probs . what i'll do tonight is get some picies of the cradels and linkages at centre stick ( 0 deg for me ) and see what you think. later
