TJ,

I just noticed that your first pic was with the helis on a bed,

WHat, do you go to bed with your helis now?

So is the trex much bigger than the mini? I know you dont have your yet, but have you seen someone elses?

The Rex is a little smaller than the Mini all over except running gear. The Mini won't even start to fit in the Align 450 case.

Oh and yeah, since the women are not lined up outside waiting for a chance to sleep in it ... I have room for the helis

---
Ok where did I leave off at ... oh yeah, the Xtreme frame on the King. Yeah that will be cool I hope.

Man just when I was getting back to my conversation with myself ...

No it is the Mini part-for-part replacement head from HD. They just call is the CNC parts but the brand on the packages show Sonix.

---
So TJ are you excited about the Rex coming in the mail?

Yeah TJ I am. I think it will be cool to finally get what everyone calls "The best of the best". I am actually not expecting a huge difference in flying feel from the Mini but we will see.

But dude the SE is THE heli to own and there are so many people that say it is so freakin awesome. Doesn't that make you believe that it will be better than the Mini?

See TJ the Mini was made in response to the Rex and they had a goal in mind when they designed it, be as good and maybe better all for half the cost of a Rex450SE. I think they pulled it off. With a good CNC head I think the Mini is as good or better than the best Rex out there. Just do the same upgrades a Rex like a Scorpion motor, 401 + 9650 and HS65MGs all around, and you will have a freaking awesome heli, period.

Just got back from the garage. Sometimes those 10 minutes flights are just too long. The later it gets the worse my concentration is. I've come up with "last call" of 10pm. No starting new battery after 10pm. I've made a few exceptions to the rule, but those days usally start by sleeping in and a few lattes mid-day.

----

Thanks for the vid. Didn't really know that about the Mini's tail boom. So the removable assembly also includes the belt drive gear? Is that how you set the mesh?

Man I am bored of this Rex vs Mini crap. Have you seen the movie Into the Blue? Man Jessica is hot.

Yeah man I have been in love with her since Idle Hands. Then she was in Dark Angel and that freakin rocked.

Listen here Greg, stop interrupting my conversation with me.

No really, you didn't know the Mini tail comes out! That is so freaking cool. Not only for moving or shipping the heli but also to setup the belt. When you get it all ready, you just slide it into the back of the chassis until it stops and then put in the 2 bolts. That is it.

No sorry, was it good? Last movie was Astronaut Farmer. Not as much rocket-ing as I'd hope for. But I still like Billy Bob in that part.

Honestly Chris, with tail assembly like that, why, oh why, did you get a Trex?

Cause I don't have one. And because you don't have a 450, so I need 2 in order to keep the keep the universe in balance

Oh and one more thing about the tail on the Mini. Because it runs much larger pulleys than a Rex or King, you can run the belt really loose. that not only keeps wear down but also makes it more efficient than a tight belt.

TripB: Get a Mini, then you can be cool like Fender Or would you rather be like Tryan I guess it is your choice

Larger pulley makes sense. Is the tail boom a larger diameter?

Yup. I am not sure how much but I am pretty sure it is bigger. We will be at 30000 before tomorrow morning if I keep this up ... I think I need to hit the sack ... and yes that would be with the helis ... I gots no female company tonight ... or last ... or before last ... well I guess I just won't think about that ...

Burly,

Here's a pic of a comparison Rex to HBK. I have 2 450SE's amd love both. I am doing a scale project with one right now. The one in this pic will be left pod and boom.

PS Chris...you may need to buy a dog or something if you're talking to yourself and answering your own questions.....
