I did TJ, I flew 4 packs in the Mini this morning. This morning was one of the first calm mornings in a few days.

Good. I have run 72 packs through the Mini in total and nearly 50 have been in the last 2 weeks. I am liking it for sure. At first I was fairly scared of the bigger machine but now I have gotten very used to it and it feels natural like the King used to feel.

Hey now this is MY thread! Stay out!

Well it is one piece these days but I haven't flown it yet. I rebuilt it with new servos but one was bad and I had to reuse an old one. I will get the bad one replaced next time I head to the big city. I can't say for sure because I haven't tried it, but it is feeling good on the bench. Actually I have an Xtreme CF frame coming. I emailed them to see if I could get a sample and they happily sent me one. I am planning to put together a nice long build based on it. Should be fun.

Fine TripB you peaked my interest. I will get back to my conversation with myself later.

Well I know nothing about the HDX, I have a Rex coming and I own a Mini, so I probably am not the best person to ask but my thoughts are as follows ...

- The Rex SE is pretty.
- The Mini is a better buy.
- The Rex is a PITA to work on and requires that you buy stock in a threadlocker company.
- The Mini is a breeze to work on but many stock parts could stand to be upgraded.
- The Rex is a household name.
- The Mini is a hidden treasure.
- The Rex is a great machine and flies really well, just like the Mini.

So the big question is, what is more important to you ... an easy to work on plastic frame and less local support ... or a shiny CF frame and lots of very expensive yet available local parts?

ANyway you could post a pic of the mini and the King side by side?

As for the HDX, it is much like the rex450, a lot of interchangeable parts.

I would like to get a bigger heli than the king, but also use the same bats (FMA revolectrix 2100mAh 18C).

What's a good late-night thread without "Sleepless In Augusta" Shiz?

Sorry to intrude on your schizophrenia, TJ. You too, TJ.

And Trips - just get a T-Rex. I always wanted to say that.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you...

Serious? It would be a cool pic. Normally, most guys stick with one name. It would be a decent shot to see the King, the Mini, and a Rex.

Ok, so that is the Mini next to the trex 450 right?

Curious to see the king next to them.

Did I read that right, the mini has a larger main rotor length than the trex? I thought I saw the trex listed at 25 1/2 to 26" and the mini at 28 1/2 to 29".

Hey Gregor,

I'm just doing some late night repairs to my king. I had put some lights on her and tried flying at night, well, you can guess what became of that!

Yeah Greg I just emailed them and said I was one of the RR ESky King guys and was not happy with the fiber frame and wanted to ask them if they would consider sending me their new one to play with. Guy emailed back and said sure, I got a shipment confirmation yesterday.
