I read something about the new size (new height 60.3mm) for the last generation FP EVOlite 6s 5350 packs......can be a problem for use with Logo 5003D?
Thankyou for answers

Yes, the new version of the pack (still 17C) is a little taller than the old one and will not fit under the pinion. Even with my older one I did not slide it under the pinion even though it would fit but with only about 1-2mm gap it made me nervous. Still need to weigh the new one to compare with the old and will report back the numbers then. The L500 seems to balance just fine with the batteries in front of the pinion though.

Hopefully the new pack lasts a bit longer. The two older packs have lost their punch after 80 flights and one started puffing at 80 (the other is now at 97). The new one has tons of power in comparison but now at 20+ flights I notice a very slight drop from the first 10 but it could be because I need to warm it up before flying since I charge it in cooler temps.

I'm tempted to get an EVO25 5000 next time so I can see if a higher C rating makes the pack last longer.

Hi

With the new evolite generation you must put the pack into the heli's nose, like this:

dimensions: 6O/14/42 699g

it fit very well in my logo 10 3D and it should fit on logo 500 too,

I hope...

It fits just fine in the Logo5003D but it will not go under the pinion - still balances ok. I'll take a picture of mine later. Another thing I noticed is the o-rings are a little tighter and you need to be careful pulling them over the battery near the frame so you don't cut them on the frame edge.

I removed O-rings: too much tight

my lipo is maintained by this:

It's quicker before flying and stronger too.

I've been tempted to use the velcro straps as well but it makes the canopy fit tighter on my setup. Vecro would definitely be easier though.

Thanks to all for the answers.
What you think of EVOLite 6s 4270 (only 582g.), like alternative? .......someone has been able to compare?

Brucewsb, I'm waiting your pictures ...thanks in advance!

I'll get some picks of the new one as a comparison to the old but for now here is link with a picture of what the original one looked like in the frame - several posts down.

Husky,

I just looked through the thread listed in my prior post and noticed that you have a EVOlite V2 5350 6S. When and where did you get that? I don't even see them listed on the sites and my new one that came direct from Flightpower as a replacement is listed as 17C but thicker (as described before) than the original. Wonder if I just have an old label attached.

Hi bruce

I bought it four months ago to espritmodels. It was the only web site to have it at this moment.

The Evolite 5350mah 6S was out of stock everywhere.

If you have some pictures about the both versions, it should be great. I don't know what the old version looks like!

Just have a look at this link

I bought my first two 6 months ago at Espritmodel as Evolite V1. Even the Flightpower site does not show V2. My new one must be a V2 but with the old label since it is definitely bigger than the first. I'll take pictures to show the difference.
