It's not "NEEDED" but it does tighten up the damping a bit.

If you are a hard core 3D guy, you will need it or I should say wan't it.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".

I'm not using it on my Fury (same head as stratus) and I haven't had any problems, granted I'm not Bobby Watts, but I've flown it pretty hard.

Hmmm, I've never installed it and I fly my heli pretty hard. I know other reps who don't use it either. Would you guys say that it in fact makes a noticeable difference?

I broke mine the first time around so I flew it without for a short period of time waiting for replacement parts. I then installed it and it gave the head a little more pop and seemed to be a bit crisper.

I was told not to put mine in because the dampners had changed or something. I forget the exact reasoning on top of it being a nightmare to get the retaining clips on, but took their advice, which came from a MinAir guy.

I haven't been left wanting for 'pop'!

Nightmare to get the retaining clips on? They give you a brass tube. All you do is put the tube over the axle and drive the clip into place by screwing in a grip bolt. Takes about 30 seconds.

Ghost... how do you break a silicone tube?

To answer the question... I would install it.

It's not even included with the Latest Fury Extreme kits! I just don't feel it's needed expecially with the new one piece dampers.

After a rebuild on one of my Extremes, I neglected to install the plastic tube. Haven't really a need for it so far.
