I just install spartan ds760 gyro on my 600 super pro, as soon as my friend call and I answer with bluetooth head phone my heli is shaking like dance in the air, as we all know spartan can connect with bluetooth. anyone found this problem.( I know shouldn't talk on the phone via flying but I only runing in the engine.) But what about one of your club member answering the phone with bluetooth via you flying 3D . Is anyone found this problem or what I have to do to get rid of the shake.
please advice.

i would try a ground test with the heli on and have someone call him and have him answer using his bluetooth headset. if something happens on the ground, then i would ask him to not use a bluetooth headset.

also, i feel like this is hard to have being true as the gyro needs to link with your bluetooth device and wouldnt just be hit by a headset

Not without this:

Do you have a Blue Link installed?

Hi eckman,

What you observed is pretty normal if observed on the bench. Some cellphones emit strong signals just prior to ringing or receiving a message - enough to cause the servos to gitter if the Rx is close to the phone.

The ds760 is NOT bluetooth capable without the optional BlueLink accessory dongle attached (http://www.spartan-rc.com/products/...nk/bluelink.php) so there is no possibility of some unwanted communication btwn the BT headset/phone and gyro

I've got a ds760 in my 600nsp (and several other helis) and have always flown with my cellphone (Motorola Razr or HTC Touch) in my pocket - bluetooth on my phone is always enabled (for car, not headset) - several times I've gotten calls while in the air, landed, taken the call and resumed flying - no problem.

Several other club members with BT, some with headsets are usually on and off their phones while helis with ds760's are being flown and this hasn't proved to be a problem at the field or in the gym so far.

It is far more likely that if your phone or headset is in close proximity to your heli when this happens and you are a 2.4Ghz radio that one of your devices may be swamping your Rx.

Cheers,

I have one and there is nothing in my manual about that. Unless you connect it to the "Spartan Blue link?" And I wouldn't recommend running your heli with the blue link attached.

You sure it's not something else?

I'd rather be flying

It is quite possible that the cellphone was interfering with the analogue electronics of your radio (joystick signal). Cellphones will create interference for a couple of feet around them which you can easily hear/see if you place them next to a radio or TV. You should not really have it in your pocket while you fly.

This happened a few years back with futaba synth modules.

incoming calls used to swamp the electronics and exibit what you describe.

Doubtful its the bluelink

Are you running 2.4, PCM or PPM?

You're ok to fly with the BlueLink properly secured. However, don't do any config changes in flight. This is noted in the directions.

I love using the BlueLink for setup tuning. So much easier than fooling with a laptop.

^^^

Very interesting. It would be cool changing values in flight though... just imagine your tail is bouncing a little in sudden stops, you tell your spotter "its too harsh, soften the response by 5% pls", your spotter picks up his mobile, changes the value and ask "feeling better now?"

Just the thought of it makes me grins.

Of course you couldn't have your wife as your spotter or she probably would hit the "reverse direction" button just to get home early

Unfortunately I don't have a blue tooth link BUT if I had one:

"blue enabled laptops" -> No, I can program my spartan with an USB cable and a laptop. The advantage of the bluelink is that one doesn't need the laptop so it kinda seem redundant.

"blue enabled PDA windows based" -> Again no. I have two PDA (HP5550) and lets be honest... charging them almost everyday and remembering to put them in the cradle and then carrying them all day long... not for me

"blue enabled windows phones" -> or symbian (in the future) would be definitely for my taste

Now, as far as I know, the Spartan bluetooth link supports every single option you mentioned (besides symbian... Angelos, are you listening? ) so in the end, it depends on what the end user likes/dislikes as the hardware is able to support it all.

Why would anyone want to be contactable while taking time out at the field. Turn the bloody phone off.
There's every reason to suspect that the resultant sideband artifacts of a phone system in the local proximity to a 2.4GHz radio system could destructively interfere with it at elevated powers during the scan phases at connect time.

Angelos said perhaps simbian and java in the future.

I'm using a smartphone with mine.

Tony,

It's just as easy to land, make changes and fly again.
