| Wow, offline for a day and see what happens! I am really feel'n the 450 love. Sorry, got sucked into something at work and didn't even have time for quick peak over here. Lets see, some questions and answers:
1) No I haven't bought a new heli. Budget wise, it will be late August at the earliest.
2) I'm on the fence about the Outrage looks. I don't like that it uses CF landing gear. But then if I can't set it down gently, then I shouldn't fly it The canopy is different. No window for the pilot. Why do we need that anyway? By the way, have you seen the Fury 450 canopy? I like the heli, but the canopy looks like its from the 70s!
3) Will I get a Trex, Mini, or Belt? No offensive, but probably not. I've gone the plastic route and though I'm SURE, Align and Thunder Tiger plastic is better than Esky, I know its just not for me. Although I cherish the path the HBK2 has taken me on, with my next heli I want to start out with stuff I want from the get go.
4) Outrage power system. Yes, unconventional and controversial. Reports are 8-10 minutes of hard 3d with a 6S 1300 and no fade. More voltage, less current. Everything stays cooler. Longer battery life, and easier on the ESC and motor. The higher voltage, lower current made a lot of sense to me. I don't like my electronics to be warm.
5) Outrage node connectors - comes with Thunder Power connectors and includes an adapter for Align. I already had the Cellpro Align adapter but went ahead and bought the TP/PowerQuest adapter as well. I can use either. Its less of a hassle than I thought it would be. Although I'm seriously considering locating some of my own node plugs and making my own adapters. I'm surprised that's not more common.
