My SA is perfect.

Never given me any trouble.

Maybe 500 flights.

I don't count.

500 hundred flights is pretty impressive MMike, does the head develop any slop over time ?? I know my King did in 3 or 4 weeks

thats why I said SEV2 dougie. I know your gonna wring it out with a high pinion gear so cut out the middle man and get a heli thats gonna last you and not wear out. Youll get a SE way cheaper than upgrading a SA to an SE.

Yes indeed the SE all CNC - Yes indeed , why not skip the plastic and go CNC all the way I had the copter X head on my King and it was without flaw-- Flawless I tells Ya

I hear great things about those CopterX heads, but I gotta throw some props in for RC-TEK. The CNC Phantom head is just as slop-free, if not more so, than the stock head. NO slop in the flybar cage, and less than ½ mm on the blade grips. The only thing it needs is stiffer damping, but that's easy to fix. Besides, I want it tame until I get a handle on this beast.

I also recommend an aluminum A/R bracket for anyone with a SA or SE. RC-TEK has them for $10. Drops right in without even having to use those tiny spacers the plastic one needs. The stock plastic one is super-flimsy, and a replacement is $5 anyway.

Just sayin if your gonna do it do it right. CNC all I have to do is charge the batteries on mine. If I want to tinker I got the king rip it apart put it back together again.

Dougie boy get yourself a 450 SE from the classifieds and beat the crap out of it like I know you will. They like the abuse, and pretty soon you will have 4 of them like I do, then the 600E is just the next step... Just do it....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Slider's back! At least for now...

You've acquired some more company with TRIXes on the shelf in your absence.

Toolman Greggor Ill start with Im sorry!

The scale heli side of me thinks that the outrage is THE ugliest heli I have ever seen freeky looking pod and boom I would not be interested in. Even if it does fly 10 times better than my REX I cant get past the futuristic sleek looking design.

I read the little commentary on helidirect. Would imagine you could do that with the mini if you wanted up the voltage drop the current. lower the pinion use longer blades. Sorry I dont think that powerplant is the future. Looks like the same ratio in a bigger heli more power more weight same ratio?

In all fairness I think my rex is ugly also with a carbon frame and wires hanging out the back and radio gear sitting there. Gyro sitting on the tail like a black box from a 747. I just fly it I dont look at it. Now my King thats a looker Im gonna do a better job on my next fuse yes its sitting on my bench right now.
