| toolman got it,it looks like the shaft on a shaft driven bike beveled gears at the ends,many many of the nitro birds have them and FYI the KINGV1 was tube driven tail
the advantages are less drag so there is more momentum in an auto(so I'm told )and no change in tension due to weather or humidity but the downside is harder to adjust and the boom must be 100% straight(no unbending a boom after a crash)as with everything helis some guys swear by them,some hate them
but I'd be interested to know why none of the high end 450 out right now(not incl rave)dont have torque tube
