Here is my current shopping list. Most items are only placeholders for budgetting purposes. So don't beat me up for the 65MG.

KRG5002 OUTRAGE G5 kit /CF w/FG blades
OUTRAGE XP25 6S1P 1300mAH (3)
ERG5004 OUTRAGE EPT 1600kv 3.17mm brushless motor
Spartan DS760 SMM AVCS Gyro
Futaba S9257 EP Heli Digital Rudder Servo
Hitec HS-65MG Micro Servo (3)
Kontronik Jazz Sensorless 40-6-18 ESC
Cellpro 10s + adapters
Battery or power supply

Total $1498

The list is preliminary, and may change depending parts availability and the release of new products. There are a number of places were I could cut costs. But I want to start out with this list and work my way through the list to see if there are better or cheaper alternatives. I'm currently researching, the ESC. I can save about $100 going with a Hobby Wing. But I'm not sure the savings is worth it.

Some items are definite, like the 10s, and its power supply. I'd prefer the Cellpro 12s so I could charge 2 packs at a time. But it doesn't exist and charging a 6s 1300 on the 10s should go pretty quicky anyway.

I haven't even begun to look at 65mg alternatives. So if you have any suggestions fire away.

Hey Greggor,

I do believe that the 10s WILL charge two packs at the same time.
Someone double check me, but I thought that is what came with the last couple of packs I ordered from FMA.

The 10s will charge two "like" packs at the same time. But the each have to be less than 5s and have to start charging at the same time. The packs I'm looking at running are 6s.

And remember, that Mini was running the stock motor, esc and 13T pinion. The head actually looks stock plastic also but I can't be sure. Not bad for a $250 heli.

---
Greg: Why not run a 5s battery? Then you can charge two at once. I was looking into that for both the T500 and the Protos, and people say that it runs great!

yeah yeah yeah mines bigger than yours argument again. If it was truly bigger you wouldn't feel insecure and the need to brag about it.

Oh and greg size doesnt matter its how you use it. Same goes for model heli's too.

with a good pilot yes it can...for about half the price and none of the mods the rex needs

considering that rex has a scorpion 6 in it its not THAT fast, looks to me like that plastic stock MT was right there with it...I dont know

why do all of the videos from SoCa people look like the cameraman lives on meth and energy drinks??

yes but the MT is CONSTANTLY compared to a SEV2 so the rex we are talking about is $459 last I saw

the rex in that vid was a v2 with a scorpion 6 motor not the 8,so we are talking over 500 for the set up

Im not gonna get into it both outperform my abilities as you know Im just a hoverer. But I do feel the pissing contest is not fair. Like you said why do you have to compare a MT to a 450sev2 I can only assume the MT outperforms the comparable SA. But at the price diff it would be insane to buy the SE. You should just be glad to know how fast the MT surpassed all other 450 helis in the market that says something about it.

For those that dont know yes I own a 450SEV2 It flies like a dream but I still love my scale king as much if not more nothing like seeing a real looking heli go through the air. The pod and booms all look alike.

What did you get greg?

Basically a driveshaft. I dont like them because in a tailboom strike it is likely that you will break it. Belt is smoother and quieter. Also shouldnt break in a boom strike. They are very good for uhh yeah i dont like them.

Dont wait for me. Ill get there when i get there
