I am trying to bind a AR7000 to my DX7. As long as the bind plus is in the reciever the orange lights are on. When i take the bind plug out the reciever dies and I cannot move any servos and the lights go out. What am i doing wrong?

Are you using a pin & flag switch? If so that is you most likely culprit.
Either pull the pin really fast or remove it altogether and just unplug/plug in the main battery and then bind.

I am one of those "reboot it" people. I simply bind mine, then check servo movement, shut everything off, turn it back on, check lights on reciever, check servo movement... Works like a charm... And I use the pin with flag dohickie(LOL)....

Man.... I had no idea what an addiction this was going to be.....

binding

I found that with binding the reciever it is best to use the hanger 9 switch harness with a charging jack built in to the switch. it has the third wire installed. and all you have to do is install the binding plug into the charging jack. connect it to the battery jack on the receiver turn on the battery then turn on the transmitter while holding the bindig button on the back, wait for the the receivers light to go solid and release. and like HelividD said reboot. This has worked for me every time. also insure that your throtle gimble is in the low throtle postion as this will also set up your fell safe on the throtle. hope this helps.

There is also a cheaper way to do the same thing without a switch. that is install the binding plug into the battery location on the reciever. connect a battery to any channel port(make sure not to install upside down). then do the rest as above. I have done this in a pinch, and it also works fine.

The easiest way I have found to bind is as follows:

Bind plug in Bind port

Battery in any open port

Hold bind button on TX and turn on, hold bind button for 2-3seconds
and release

After rx lights up continuosly your set.

remove bind plug

hope this helps

If you are not power cycling your Tx, the Rx is indicating a low voltage event. And you should power cycle your Tx after binding.
