my benzine is hovering around 6 degrees.
i started fling helicopters in the late 80s, so we had switches for inverted and the only method was half stick hover. i am too old to change!
if you use half stick hover and want to fly switchless inverted, you are going to have a real problem from a hover if you hit the switch. i usually switch modes as a fly out or on an approach to landing. since you are adding power as you fly out, the altitude drop is not significant. on the approach to landing, it will jump up a bit.
if you set up the hover at 3/4 stick, you should not have any problem. since i like to hover a lot, i prefer staying with the 1/2 stick method.
hope this answers you quetions.
