I believe they are different companies but Hitec is relabeling the 2100T as one of theirs. I think I remember that they run different firmware or something, so they may vary slightly in terms of functionality. Anyhow I remember there is some slight difference anyways.

from what I've heard, the gyros are both made by logictech and the servos by hitec.

I actually own both gyros right now,from what I have read Hitec came to an agreement with logitec to manufacture the gyro,and incidentally Align is also selling a gyro under their name that IS the Hitec 5000 not even re-stickered,once you open the box its a hitec gyro.But Hitec is making the servo and its the fastest one they have ever made.Supposedly there are slight differences between the logitec and hitec gyros but I cant tell one difference at all.I've been using the logitec for almost a year and the hitec about 3 weeks,I honestly cant tell ANY difference....but they do both work AWESOME,and I think the set up is fantastic

I agree I have both of them, and I run the s9650 with the logitech, and the hitec servo with the hg5000 they both work like a charm. I do like the feel of the hitec servo alittle better. The difference is very subtle though.
