The Blue Ridge Mtns of NC cordially invite you to attend a two day fun-fly and crash clinic located in Arden/Asheville,NC. Home of the highly acclaimed Erickson Flight Skool and Heliheads flying field we welcome anyone willing to sacrifice their helicopters in the pursuit of a good time.
The event will start Friday, August 29th at 5pm and continue through Sunday August 31st 5pm. We have limited space for camper / rec vehicles- no hook ups. A $10.00 landing fee for pilots will include a Saturday feast.
Mr. Henry Caldwell a graduate student from EFS will be on hand to demonstrate all his skills obtained during his tenure at EFS, as well as other notable pilots and instructors !! I will post directions and lodging locations later. This is a helicopter only event due to limited space at our field. RSVP's are welcome and appreciated. For those that may actually think that they are coming to this event to learn something about flying -- you are sadly mistaken ! We hope folks will take advantage of the long Labor day weekend and come join us. For the wives and kids we are but 5 miles from the Biltmore Estate and 3 miles off the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. We are glad and appreciative that the Pepsi folks want to be a part of our funfly. I only hope that they have a similar product to offer Henry Caldwell to replace the AMP power drink he is accustomed to!!

eyeflyhelis when are you planning on going and i could do it for the day maybe not all weekend.. I'd like to meet HC heard he was a great pilot and i've seen him on youtube and others doind invert autos onto a picnic type table really sick and haha bear footed. let me know if you can stand going just for the day and i can go with.. and Pepsi is a good cola

You are welcome to come whenever you want between August 29th -Friday 5pm til August 31st Sunday 5pm. I can speak with some assurance that Saturday the 30th will be the busiest day and have the most activity, as well as the food feast we are putting on. As far as Henry Caldwell being a "great" pilot this is a understatement being that Henry was in fact the first honor role graduate student from EFS. His picture hangs proudly in the halls of EFS Flight Center. So needless to say we are all looking forward to seeing Henry back on the turf where his once shaky , wobbly, jittery hand movements were transformed into what are now highly skilled surgeon like movements. P.S - Spider if you actually buy into anything I have said here then you too are a potential candidate for enrollment into the Erickson Flight Skool ! Hope to see you Labor Day weekend

This gets 4 Stars in my humble opinion. Swimming pool , Bar Lounge, Restaurant, Very Clean -- The best bang for the buck !!! Book by Aug 25th. Registration begins Monday August 11th for the Holiday Inn.

These hotels are all within a 3 mile drive to the field and are all located off of Exit #40 and I 26 airport exit. Plenty of fast food and restaurants very close by.
