Does anyone know how to dissassemble a Tango 45-10 motor? There are three screws in the top of the can that loosen the stator inside the can but it won't come apart and I don't know if thumping on it is right the way to go.

The motor has an intermittant drag when you wiggle the leads that could be either mechanical rubbing or a short between the wires creating resistance. Either way I want to take it apart to inspect the guts. Any ideas?

Once the screws are removed, the black top plate unscrews out of the body. Cant remeber which way the tread is though.
You will probably find this quite hard as I'm sure the use quite a bit of thread liock in the process of putting them together.
Hope this helps.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that

Yeah, the ends just unscrew. I believe they are standard right hand threads. You may need a special fixture to get a grip on the. Something with posts into the cooling holes on the back, and then the screw threads in the front...then just go with whichever end pops off first. My motor didn't have any loctite on the threads...but YMMV.
