| tadawason, I very much like your post. It seems you hit all on the money. I only started fying Electric this year; was allways a Nitro guy. The smell, the power, the smoke- nuthing better then getting out early in the AM and breathing the smell of Nitro. Anyway' I researched good before I went to E. Everything you said about E was what I felt, but you know what? I got used to it all real fast. Around here it's hard to find a place to fly. When you are driving down the road and see a place to fly I think it's great to through 2 or 3 lipos in the cargo pants pockets- hook the DX-7 on the neck strap and grab the ship out the trunk and walk out with just those items and get in 20 min of flight time. I carry my ship verticle dead in front of me so passers by do not stop to watch the action, once airbourn no one really notices. It's pretty cool !!! I guess it just takes a little getting the way you do things down to a science. Then what ever you fly gets pretty comfortable. I'm making a few changes to my T-Rex 600 and will put up some new pics of her soon. You ever see that pic in a helie mag ware that guy is sleeping comfortably in bed with his arm around his ship next to him? That's pretty funny but my 600 gives me the same feeling - and I don't have to take her to bed with me. LOL |
