I suggest an evo 50. The power to weight ratio is much better. But if you are looking at a good deal on an evo 30 and are tight for money, then you can buy the evo 30 and later upgrade it to a 50 if you want. Does the 30 have a os 37 in it? There is a big difference in the feel of a heli with a hyper 50 over a heli with an os32.

Hi

To upgrade from a 30 to a 50 can cost quite alot. The total cost of a set of 600mm blades, a new motor, muffler, motor mount, pinion and main gear would possabily make a conversion too expencive. If you want a 50 got a 50. Don't waist your time with a 30 with a plan to upgrade.

Regards
Paul

I do recommend a 50 over the 30. I was just saying that if the 30 size is a good deal and you are tight on money, then get that and upgrade later when you can afford it. If you can afford the 50 size, get that. As for getting parts to convert to a 50, the engine and muffler will be the most expensive items. Engine mounts on runryder for an evo 50 are fairly cheap. I have two sitting beside me right now that I haven't been able to sell for several months now. The black plastic main gear and secondary gears are fairly cheap, but if you are converting, I would just upgrade to the delrin gear set. The clutch bell isn't cheap, but if you do get a 30 and decide to upgrade, contact me about a clutch bell. 600mm blades are around 80 new and you can find them here for less used. Yes, its cheaper to just start from a 50 than it is to convert from a 30.

I agree with the comments above. I started with a 32 went to a toki 40 and guess what? Its now a 50. Its been a fun ride but IMO the 32 will disapoint you. Good luck on your buy.

Eco, I started with a 30 size years ago. I would recomend a 50 size , you will be much better off. Stable, visible and forgiving.

I have both, 37 and 50, night and day. Not to say the 37 isn't fun, but you ain't going to get big loops out of it, nor a ton of power. It does fly nice, it is fast, and does mild 3d ok. But I would suggest the 50 too. That thing is a hot rod!

If money isn't tight, I would go for the Evo 50. The Evo 50 will take you from hovering through 3D. Very fun bird to fly.
