My girlfriend was going to surprise me with a hummingbird which she ordered from the centurys heliworld. Well now century has lost a customer and I am out a heli .

I'll let my girlfriend tell the story.

"I placed the order on the 31st of March and made my shipping address for my work so I could sign for it. I guess they left a message at my house for a Jim and wanted a purchase order in order to ship to a different address. Then they emailed me and said I need to email them for a UPS tracking number. When I did that they never emailed me back. So I decided to call and thats when they told me that they left a message and because I didn't call back they didn't even think to email me. Then they told me that it was on back order for 3 weeks...which they never mentioned when I ordered it. So I asked why they didn't mention that when I ordered it becasue it was a gift and wasn't going to make it now. She said rudely that she didn't know so I told her to cancel the order and she hung up on me!

That my story!
No Hummingbird for Mike! "

Thanks Century

Is the effort of good or even decent customer service not worth gaining a sale??
Anyone else have problems with century customer service???

Guess I will be looking into a piccolo or hornet.

Some people will never learn... Heli-world (aka Century) is the worst heli shop IN THE WORLD! I stopped doing business with them many years ago. Their customer service is terrible.

It's a shame too... They have some nice things. But, I will never buy from them again. -Steve

you shouldn't condemn them until you talk to the manager let them know happen and give him or her a chance to make things right. Some employee in big bussiness are not really dedicated to their job and would curse a customer when the boss is not looking.

There are a lot of people who read and/or participate in this forumn. Considering the fact that they (century) advertise on this forum and should be aware of the problems discussed, you would think they would resolve some of them. Especially for something as simple as customer service. Were not even talking about nothing more than just friendly common courtesy. Very sad and fustrating since there are a limited amount of retailers out there.

Century has bad service.

I tried to have an order shipped to my business and they would not send it since according to them the address was not verifiable with the credit card. Funny thing is I used my business credit card and the address checked out when I ran it through my very own credit card reader which sent me an approval. They e-mailed me to notify me about this mess 2 days after the order was placed. I hate not being able to get parts before the weekend when it matters most. I was thinking about the Predator, but will probably deal with Rick's or just get a Freya.

i know what you guys mean, if i go in there and dont have a part number, they give me a dictionary to find it. its a pain. they dont even try to look for it. i had freinds who go in there and ask how much for a scale heli sitting on there counter and they will say its to much for them.......theres a guy at our feild who flys with us and he critics everyone, expecially me since im 15...and o yea, he works at heli world also. I stoped flying century about a year ago, and now i stopped shopping at heli world becuase the guy that works at heli world, and flys with us started to really piss me off....he said a few things to were i wanted to just sware the hell out of him! if he does it again, im going to yell at him. i can bet hes going to come up to me again and say something to piss me off. he really thinks century is all that. yes the predator is there best heli ever, but its the only actuall heli that can do 3-d stock. every other heli cant.....they say the hawk sport could..nope. they even have picstures of it inverted...WITH upgrades on it. not stock. well, thanks for making this thread! i kinda needed to get that century/heli world crap off my back........you know what they say about heli-world, there happy when you come in with lots of money, but once you leave with out it, dont come back in intill you have more

No, we were out yesterday evening, but it is so cold and windy today. Forecast for the weekend is good, so I hope to be flying again soon.

We haven't really go to spring here yet! Still snow on the ground, but there is mud between the piles of snow now. Getting to the field is becoming 'interesting'.

Maybe i should write an email to century with a link to this page. Maybe it will intice them to correct the situation. This was my first time ever dealing with them and have never really read or looked for anything about them. Its a shame though since it looks like they sell a lot of cool stuff.
