I have my Vibe 50 setup with 120 ccpm and it is flying perfect. I just got my 10c today and was wondering if it is worth switching it to 140 ccpm.

Does it backward/forward flip slow?

I would change it

EDIT: Sorry, I thought you meant it was already mechanically setup for 140 so should you change it.

If it's already flying well on 120 degree, why change it ?? I'd wait until you need to overhaul the bird, then make the switch. Go fly and enjoy it

I'd originally set mine up for 120ccpm and it flew perfect, having to much time on my hands gave me the oppertunity to change it to 140ccpm (to see if there was an improvment). Its hard to say there is any differance, but one thing that does work out well is that the canopy cut outs for the push rods to the swash plate are now in the place the JR pre cut ones...

Change it. Do you have better things to do anyway?

With 140CCPM you gonna have smooth moving.
And 10C on your hands, why don't you try it.

Is 140 capble with a DX7? I was going to bolt my dial indicator on my heli and then adjust settings until it works. Or should I just use the 120 degree setup?

Get a life? How the hell do you fly a life?

Ill try changing it. I dont think Ill have to change any linkage lengths to the head. Ill just have to change the lengths to the t arms. Does anyone know that if I change the swash type in the radio will it reset the whole model causing me to lose my setup?

Depends... on a 14mz without the latest update, it will toast the setup. With the latest update it will just reset pitch settings and curves.

Make a copy of your model and play with the copy

I switched them back and forth from 120 and 140, barely noticed any difference. The method of ccpm will not make it roll faster in one configuration than the other since the roll rate is determined from swashplate up, not what controls the swashplate.

The DX7 is capable of 140 degree set up, you just have to add a elevator>pitch mix, my settings were about -33 and -33 give or take to mix out pitch interaction when giving elevator inputs.

Personally if using the DX7 I would stick with 120, because even though I had the mix for 140, I could mix out the pitch interaction with elevator inputs say at half stick, but at different pitch ranges there was still some interaction, I kinda chased it around a bit, but could never fully mix out interaction throughout the pitch range which was kinda frustrating. It was hard to feel in the air, but sometimes it could as it would balloon a little or just feel a little 'off' sometimes.

I'd recommend 140.

On my 120 degree 600N. I only notice the interaction when I'm doing a big, I mean big big loops. The heli comes out of the loop a little skewed. On the 140 degree vibe, it comes out of the loop the same way it enters it.

If you can do 140 do it.

I'd rather be flying

DX7 capable to 140CCPM by mixing as Rappy Tappy said.
But I will go 120CCPM if I got DX7 simple and fly the same
pretty good.

if I remember correctly, its H3 but I hope someone can confirm that. Its the swash that is represented by a square, not a circle

140

CY invented 140 CCPM so that the 3 servos would all move the same distance. I that immediately that doesn't make sense but there are plenty of posts that do the math.

So, if style you fly smooth and big stick with 120; not point changing.

But if you're a crazed 3D nut, go for 140ccpm

Good luck !

I just flew my vibe with 140 on my DX7 with the program mix and it seems fine.
