So I was tighting one of my balllinks on my new servo horns and snap. The bottom threated part broke clean off. Im to strong
Could I drill out the center and use a bolt/screw/nut?? I have other helis with that type of ball link.(bolt through center)
I did order new ball links today but would like to do some setup flights this weekend. I also have some of the short synergy ball links (3x4.5) But it looks like there would not be a hole lot of thread out the bottom of the horn. Plus i would have to drill the hole to 3mm. Thanks again

Problem solved, using the short one. Its long enough to do the job

Watch the balls on your cyclic servo horns after a crash. There have been several reports of the threaded portion shearing off during flight. I've not been so unfortunate, but I did have one break while replacing a broken servo horn. Had screwed the ball into the new horn and was just hand-tightening the nut on the back when it split. They're cheap enough that whenever I break a servo arm I replace the ball as well just for peace of mind.
