Blitz Helicopters Avro 90 > Should I buy a Blitz?

I'm thinking about buying a Blitz.

Could you compare it to any other similar helicopters?

Could you tell a huge performace difference over others?

Or, is it just nice to fly something different, variety .

Thank you!

If you like the best of what life has to offer, then you should have one. Period.

It flies VERY smooth, predictable and yet agile.

I prefer the way it flies over any machine I have ever owned or flown in the past.

As far as performance goes- all that I can say is that I am able to fly maneuvers now without thinking about the inputs as much. I think that I am getting more comfortable with new maneuvers faster than I was with previous machines.

The true test is only when you get to fly one though. I do have to warn you- if you purchase one, you will have a difficult time wanting to put it together. It is just too cool checking out all of the individual components!

Oh... and the people at Blitz are second to none with customer service, accessibility, etc. They really strive to take care of you!

Those are my opinions from experience.

I have to add that, had my Caliber 90 not fallen in my lap, I would be competing with a Blitz this year.

Gotta agree with Ryan

Superb heli, superb customer service

One of the few companies I've had dealings with that definately put the customer first and 'pull out all the stops' if you have any questions or issues

I'll be buying another Avro over the winter

I like mine... The drive train is as quiet as it gets for a nitro 90. Everybody comments on how quiet it is.

I was flying a Fury Extreme before. The Avro flies very similarly. Except the fuel tank is in the back, where it balances better.

Like everybody says, the service is great. I occasionally get emails from Blitz that are responses to questions I write here on RR.

Just Got One

I recently purchased an Avro and will be starting the build tomorrow. At this point, the only input I can give and also second, is about the level of customer service from Blitz.
Their customer service is second to none. I have received responses to EVERY email within hours, which is astounding service, not to mention the time difference issue.
I purchased my kit from another RR member last week, Blitz has already shipped me an upgraded headblock FREE of CHARGE, no questions asked.
As mentioned, Im hesitant to build it, its a work of art just sitting in the box

take care, dont step on the toes today that may be connected to the butt you have to kiss tomorrow!!

Just want to say I agree completly with you guys All been said cannot add anything more

But to you question, yes the avro is a superb machine, depending on what you want to do with the helicopter I think its the best on the market sofar.

Its not really a hardcore 3D machine but a precise 3D manouver machine and super stable fai machine with rear canopy (no fuselage needed), you can do all the 3D manouvers without any problems.

Must say its just beautifull to see it fly, in all the ways around

What are your intentions with this helicopter?

It can be a hardcore 3D machine!

I've stood next to two of them whilst they were flown doing aggressive 3D. One of them was a flybar-less variant and I have to say it was incredibly agile, I've never seen blades bend so much in flight! It had to be seen to be believed...

Climax, Dont have experience with the flybarless version of the avro, but the main problem of the helicopter is the weight of 5.2kg (stripped). You cannot compare it with a 90 size heli which weighs only 4kg with same engine, etc.

It is a very agile helicopter and offcourse here in Spain are only 4 AVROS sofar and we all don´t do really RADICAL 3D, just smooth 3D flying. Fingers also do a lot, wanted to give mine to Lukas Riva to see what the machine really can but he could not do it as hes an oficial ALign pilot

But I don´t think it wasnt really mend to be a Hardcore 3D machine, but the tail is super fast, good handling and very agile, there you are right.

Cannot not have any bad comments on the heli

Weight is a funny thing as I've watched many top pilots fly different machines, some heavier/lighter than others. Yet once they've become accustomed to the feel of the particular heli their flights seem as good as each other.

It a shame you couldn't get Lukas to fly your machine, as I think you'd have been surprised by its performance, if not slightly terrified at the same time... There's nothing scarier than seeing your own machine getting a good thrashing a few feet above the ground!

We need some video of an Avro in the hands of an expert giving it a hard time!

No pictures of the flybar less machine I'm afraid, I did have a camera with me but I was too transfixed by the flying to take any shots. It really was extremely agile, and produced the most amazing blade noise when maneuvered aggressively!

The blade noise I have noticed also with mine since I am using the Radix 710 Stick Bangers and ones in a while it looks like their breaking haha! but just love to make that sound...

Really hope to see a 50.size Avro in the future Allthough i am happy with my rexes

Simply smooth patterns.....no stick banging stuff. I'm starting to like big patterns .

The Aurora and Synergy would be used for stick banging .
