I just went for a brouse through http://www.hobbynet-jp.com/overseas/index.shtml

Now is it just me, or are QJ parts pretty damned expensive?
I thought Id just go through and do a tally up of an order I'll make in the future, crash repair stuff.
Frame sides, skid sets, big pitch levers, medium stretch kit, 4x most shafts and flybars, a fin set, anti rotation brackets etc etc.
The total came to $470AU
Its cheaper to buy 2 second hand kits!! lol
I appreciate that this stuff is CNC'd in Japan, but its very expensive compared to the Trex500 and the Protos 500.
I always knew that QJ stuff cost a bit more than normal, but it seems more now.
Is it just me??
I have my EX ready to test fly, but am now worried about crash repair if I do (when I do) something too low with it
Hopefully I land my new job

If you bling it, they will come :D

I've heard of stories of brand new align parts defective right out of the bag!

I usually don't call them crash repairs, they are upgrade\modification opportunity.

Upgrade/modification opportunity!! hahahaha
I like it.
I dont crash very often, however I have done so 3 times in about 6 weeks with my 450 lol. 2 mechanicals, only 1 dumb thumb.
Im intending to 3d the QJ, so its gonna crash sooner or later, so it pays to expect it really. That way Im not so upset when it goes in

Jimbo
I will check Harold out, thanks for the info

If you bling it, they will come :D

check these out.

I'm running these on my bird. I really dig the small front ESC mount.

He is not making new frames anymore though, just selling old stock he has left, which is a shame.

I like Harolds frames because of the way the elevator servo mounts.

well Ive emailed Harold a list of parts I want to buy yesterday.
Now just waiting for a total including shipping.
Have ordered EP9 boom and belt for safe running of 430mm blades.
Also getting rigid damper set, as I feel that the stock damping is too soft for what I intened to do to it
The rest is just spares really.
Hope to hear from Harold shortly.
Itchin to have my EX finished the way I want it.
My Castle esc is in transit, my Hitec HS85mg's as well, and also a newer 2.4ghz AR6100e RX.
Cant wait to punch it full throttle lol. That Turnigy esc wasnt liking what I wanted it to do
Now that Ive used that Spartan gyro for the EX, I have to try and find another one to run on my RJX Extreme 90 thats coming.
Finding another Spartan is like finding hens teath at the moment.
BUT, the Spartan is really that good. So I'll keep looking.
No way am I taking it off the EX, its just too nice now lol

If you bling it, they will come :D
