I know that the hypergrips have the small hole to lube the thrust bearings (supposedly).. anyone know where to get a tool to force the grease in there? i would rather not disassemble the head to remove the bearings and do this.. thanks for any advice!

A plastic syringe works fine. You should be able to get that at pretty much any hobby shop.

Thanks - ill give that a try. i typically use thick lube in there (like 1 way bearing lube).. i figured it would be difficult to get it into a hole that small. are you using that type of lube or something else?

I use white lithium grease. I just stuff it in the syringe and then force it in the hole and wipe up the excess.

I used this and filled it up with good Motul grease:
