Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > Convert Freya Evo 90 to Flybarless - Mikado Head?

I was thinking about trying flybarless as a bit of an experiment. I actually flew a GMP Legend for 2 years with the flybarless head and did loops, rolls, autos and flips with it. Of course, this was back in 1989-1990 timeframe with JR 4131 servos and a Century VII.

But, I digress...what do you think of just purchasing a Mikado Logo 600 rotor head and swash follower (if it doesn't come with the complete head) and replacing my Freya Evo head.

I've also been thinking of how to modify the existing head but there really isn't an easy way to get zero Delta with the current blade grips and modifying them with an extension isn't really possible either.

Has anyone else put a complete Mikado head on a nitro 60-90 machine?

I'd want to use the new Skookum Robotics unit rather than the V-Bar just to try something different.

Incidentally, I flew a Mikado Logo 600 flybarless system this past weekend and was very impressed even though my flying was pretty tame (with 44.4Vdc battery the motor was producing around 6hp on an 8lb helicopter).

Chris.
