Synergy R/C Synergy N9 > Installing Se tail hub question

Im using my stock grips and bought the Se tail hub kit with the new bolts and bearings. The standard Synergy manual states to "do not over tighten" the bolt that holds the grip on. How tight should I get it? Use red threadlocker? Thanks

Heres a link on how to install. You can use the stock plastic grips with this hub

Torque the bolts like you normanly would. I would not use red locktite, i use blue for mine it works great. you need to get the stack height right with the grips. The plastic grips with the bearings and the thin washer will be a little shorter than the hub end. i had to install a washer on the hub between the bearing and the bolt head. When installed the washer should be even with the end of the hub. Next you will need to install the bolt and check that there is no play and there is no binding. Tha tail grip should be free and smooth when assembled correctly. There will be no play either. Hope this helps, Kevin

Great Just what I needed to know. Looks like my hub comes even with the bearing. Looks like I will have to get a nut driver at work tomorrow because the only shocket I have wont fit into the blade grip
Its very smooth and no play once so ever...

The shim that comes in the Long Hub "Kit" is supposed to go between the thrust and the outter radial. The custom bolt does not need an additional washer. Please refer to the SE PDF as the bearing and shim stack is the same for the stock grip. http://synergyrc.com/en/images/SE/n...ail%20assem.pdf
