Hey guys,

Just received my brand new Futaba 12Z. It came with the TM-14 module and R6014FS 14 channel receiver. I'm reading through some of the papers that came with, do I have to perform the update to get it working with the FASST system or is it already done via factory?

put the module in and turn it on. It should register the 2.4 module. If not then you need to update it but I think it was done already.

mine was all set ready to go..........only issue i have now is with Hobbico/Towers so-called 12Z Flyers Club............i faxed and even sent hard copy of the registration form in and after 3 weeks of waiting, emailing, and even a phone call.......nuthin....nada.....zip
what a friggin joke.
beautiful radio that'll take me to next levels and beyond, but the other crap is just that, crap.

actually if i hadn't made a stink about it, i would never have been added.
Bill Baxter responded today and said he did not know what had happened and that he was re-entering me in the system.......all is good now.
and there is some good info there......i already picked up 3 programming tips i was wondering about.

It is a new software update on the 12z users forum dated June 17, 2008. I just finished downloading/updating and I'm printing the manual updates now. I all ready tried the updated sounds menu, pretty darn cool! This was my first update and it was pretty easy.

The update is also on the 12z page on the Futaba web site,
www.futaba-rc.com
