Purchased a low time, solid N9 from another member here. Seller indicated the heli was never crashed and dialed in by Matt Botos.
See the ad here: http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/...1/?p=3499349#RR
I have no problem with the seller and the product he represented.
I do however have a problem with the heli which I need some advise. Moments after bringing the heli into a hover, I see a bad vibration that resonates to the radio tray and shakes the holy s*&t out of the radio gear. The radio tray is not that stout. The tail also starts to get a little jumpy. The 611 gain was set a little high for my taste, so it was lowered to 32. Leaning out fuel mixture seemed to make the vibration come early in the hover opposed to a rich setting bringing it on later. The gyro gain still is high as I still have the jumpy tail. Maybe the gain is too low now and the vibration is making me think the gain is too high, I dont know wtf is going on here, but I know it aint right like it is. Also, the fuel is dancing around in the tank like a water show at the Bellagio Hotel!!

Thanks!

The Synergy has a fuel churning issue. I have the big SE engine mount that Synergy swears gets rid of it and it doesn't, but it does greatly minimize it. With an OS egnine that is.

Here is the good news. It has zero effect on the machine and how the engine runs. Actually with a YS and SE engine clock it will go away. The OS is not as smooth. I run the OS SZ Pumped Hyper.

The rest of my machine is silky smooth and always has been. I have the HyperDrive tail as the stock part is a piece of garbage design wise.

The heli will shake if you have the dampening too hard and/or the head RPM is too low. What is your headspeed???? And what dampners/shims are in the head??? OEM, Hyperformance, Infinnovation, etc??? How many and what thickness shims are in the head??? LOTS of things could do what you describe.

By the way from the pic it looks like there is about 18 layers of tape under the gyro sensor. Try some new tape and only put one layer under the metal plate the 611 comes with and one above it. You want it isolated from vibes yes, but not bobbing around like a cork in the water either. Can't hurt.

Give us some more info. I bet we can help.

I'm going to take the head apart and get the answers to your questions. Head speed was 1927 in normal.
Hyperformance dampners.

I have changed to zeal tape on two of my models a raptor 3d which wagged, and an N9 which had a drift issue thought to be related to vibration (spartan 760) and it fixed both problems.

In the case of the N9 I have also fitted the new SE hub upgrade kit and it has smoothed the fuel out a lot, so I think what were originaly thought to be vibrations due to TT run out, were actualy related to the tail unit itself possibly from bearings which had become rough after sticking the tail in the dirt.

I hope this helps
