Synergy R/C Synergy N9 > Head block Guide pin replacement? Anyone done it?

I had a small misshap last week which resulted in a light crash on my N9. The antirotation pins in the headblock are bent pretty bad though. Is it possible to replace these? Has anyone done it? What is the procedure and what are the part numbers if any for the pins??

Thanks for the help,

Viper

I've not done this on my Synergy but I have on other machines. I believe you can use a pair of pliers to twist and pull them out. You might slightly heat the head block so it will expand and loosen any adhesive that may be holding them. I've not measured them but I'd be willing to bet Ron Lund might have something that would fit. Maybe even an MA part. Hope this helps!

Look at these and call Ron and see if he would compare them to a Synergy head and see if they would possibly fit.

Yes, it is possible to replace them. In fact, if you buy a new head block you will find that it comes without the pins and that you have the install them yourself. I found that the remove the pins I had to heat the head block and then use a pair or pliers to twist them out. To reinstall I used red loctite and hammered them in the new head block. I was able to reuse the pins I removed so I don't have a part number for the replacement pins. I'm pretty sure they are available with a Synergy part number from Ron. PM tec548, I know he bought a set before and can probably give you the part number.

I FOUND THEM!!

Thanks for all the help guys. Here they are if anyone else has this issue in the future.

Heat the head block well and they come out with a little twist. Not sure what to do if you were to shear one off. That would be BAD!!
