e-E-Flite Blade CP mCX CX 400-3D > Blade CP+ Pro Cheaper Blades?

Looked around a bit, and couldn't find a thread specific to this. What alternatives are you guys using for blades?

Here are two that I have found, but haven't tried;

http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?i...52&pid=NESKV020

http://www.helidirect.com/product_i...products_id=975

Anyone using them? Do they fit?

Perhaps we can keep this thread as a repository of cheaper alternatives to the E-flite blades?

Thanks.

I have tried the Helidirect blades, but not the flat bottom, I tired the symetrical. In regards to the symetrical, the quality control is not to par, actually quite bad. I have heard this from others on this forum. The blades i got on one of the blades the wrapping (heat shrink wrap) had many large bubbles, also the wood materials where different, noticed after i broke them. Also they where quite unbalanced. Balanced it. But it flew OK, hovering. Now i just stick with the E-flight flat buttom blades. But if you decide on any alternative, if you could post results that would be great since, i too would not mind using cheaper blades.

I ordered up a few sets of the economical e-sky symmetrical woodies but they all flew like crap - So I too just stick with the expensive e-flite woodies now

I personally really liked the Esky CP2 blades from BP hobbies. The one's I got were balanced and pretty light. The $ 8.00 HeliDirect blades were hit or miss-- I found some to be better than other sets. Almost all had to be balanced.

Do a search for HD 1141 blades. Cheap but really
good quality. Flat bottomed.

I totally agree, terrible quality control.

I flew the Esky woodies that MicroManiac referred to and was also disappointed.

I don`t fly my CPP much any more. When I do, I usually just fly with the plastic symetrical blades and no flybar weights. The extra weight of the plastiblades really do add a lot of stability to this little heli. The plastics are certainly not high-performance blades. But they track well, fly decent and are very durable.

I fly carbons on all my other helis, but because the CPP tends to be of medium reliability at best, I find the plastic blades to be a better choice for my purposes of "bombing around" the yard. If I want to 3D, I fly another heli.

I order Esky CP2 blades form Ebay out of HK or TW. find somebody that do FLAT combined shipping and just order a bunch of them. Last deal I got was 60 for 10 sets of blades + $6 shipping. Took 3 Weeks to get here but good quality they tracked and balanced out of the package.
