Anyone know what he was flying? Was it the new beast or still his 3D Masters machine?

Hirobo

If hirobo doesn`t get off their ass and market this i don`t know how they survive, at least out here on the west coast.
Align owns the territory as far as i can see.

Congrats Dominik, Good Job!

You gotta be on cloud nine, back to back contest wins. Is 3DM gonna be 3 in a row? Good luck.

Awesome Dominick!

Makes my reply a whole lot easier when people try to say Hirobo's aren't good for 3D.

I spent the whole of the XFC assisting Dominik and his father. They are both humble, friendly and fantastic people.

Dominik performed very well with his precise 3D routines. The Turbulence proto-type is proving that Hirobo can also design a winning machine for 3D.

I'd also like to mention that everyone at the event, AMA, Mr. & Mrs. Adkins, Frank Knoll, staff and competitors alike were all very gracious, fun and good spirited. The enthusiasm and thrill of the hobby was in full swing.

Also, I'd also like to say that Team GTO (Go Team Orange) put on a airplane night show that set the bar for model aircraft entertainment!

... also congrats to Bobby HIGH VOLTAGE!!!! Watts on his 2nd placing and tarmac gouging, intense routines!

...and, congrats to phenom aircraft pilot Andrew Jesky on his much deserved win. Its incredible how he makes an airplane dance.

now on to the Hirobo Cup....

The heli that Dominik use in XFC is a Hirobo Turbulence D3 prototype. That machine should be 99% the same as the ones that will be available later.

Meanwhile, I am waiting for my Turbulence kit to arrive from Japan...Once I got it I shall post pics of it in my web page.

I saw this thing first hand and I was quite impressed. It was a very good looking machine and flown exceptionally well.

All of us reps are grinding our teeth waiting on these machines. I for one can't wait to get my grimy paws on one. With luck I'll be able to arm twist my team lead into letting me fly it at the Hirobo cup

I did get to see the new heli at XFC and was quite impressed.. I just wish Hirobo would reconsider the price point.....I just can't afford to spend 2 grand on the airframe

Just as a point of note,

the US pricing is NOT set for the D3 yet and is NOT something to be guessed based on the Japanese currency pricing advertised (ie Japan pricing and US pricing are going to be different). This has been a point of heated discussion within the Hirobo circles and is still far from being settled so please don't give up on us yet.

Belt Drive

This is i tail belt drive right? You`d think for the kind of money for this machine you`d get a torque tube.
