Hi all, anyone use tail rod guides other than the stock quides that come with the kits. I dont like the idea of CAing the guides to the carbon tail boom. Also are there clamp on guides available anywhere? cheers

You could put a wrap of tape around boom where rod guides go for a snug fit.

Try some of these

I snug them up just enough so I can tap them around until everything is lined up and then tighten the screw and all is well.

Quick UK do a cool pushrod set with boom-mounted servo clamps and an integral guide and fin mount.

What's the part number of the Hirobo guide please?

I have been using a small 4" zip-tie that is fitted between the boom and the push rod guide . seems to work good . I use the same on both my Raptor 30 & 90 .

I use a carbon tail rod like bulldogs work great for me and it is a
simple set up.

I used a very, very small piece of servo tape (Trinity). Place the tape where the rod guide will be and then slide (force) the guide over the tape. No glue mess and stays in place. It also allows the rod to "find" its center.
