Vario Sky Fox - Benzin - Evolution - Xtreme > Pitch/throttle curves??

I know this topic has probably been beaten to death but anyway. Does anybode here use all linear pitch curves? I haven't been doing that myself on my other ships after I read Peter Wales's book. But I can't seem to get the right curves on this baby. It starts to vibrate on approaches and lack power to put her down.

Any input on "curves" are appreciated

Pitch curve

Hi Paal,

Nice bird. On my XLV gas I use a flat curve in the bottom which continues as a linear curve at the meeting point. The low point is set just a little higher than clutch engagement. (30% on my XLV) This works fine for me without any revup.

Getting the throttle/pitch curves to match up to work right together is time consuming. Make it easy on yourself and install a governor. When you make pitch changes the rotor rpm will always be the same and you will never have to worry about a throttle curve. I only set a throttle curve for a backup if the governor failed for some reason.
With a governor your flights will be smoother, consistant and more enjoyable.

I have the benzine with a gv-1 and stator . Normal gv-1 off with a flat throttle curve on the low end. (5-17-23-35-45) Withe gv-1 engaged 1250 rpm set, gv-1 idle 2- 1300 set. Works great.
