Sometimes a charger will give an "odd signal" for 30 seconds and snap out of it.

How long did you try it?

Brand new Blade 400 3D--Two things wrong with it!!!

I bought a brand new Blade 400 3D a month ago for Father's Day so to get a discount on it! Well when I checked it out the heli wouldn't do nothing. Finally took it back to store. They checked it out only to find that one of the main power leads soldered on the ESC wasn't making any contact!!

Abit later I discovered the aileron trim micro switch was bad!! Couldn't return to the right toward center!!

They say that these are test flown at the factory!!! Ha Waiting for repaired radio to be returned to me.

I will have to check everything out before I dare fly it!

well this is odd.

even though all the small wires from lipo to balance charger were tight/installed correctly, the charger gave an error. after trying several times. 2 of the wires came out..GAAARGH!

so i placed them back in, and tried my best to squish the tiny connectors the wires fit into .

now it seems to be working... (but now the "proper" charge lights (3 green, 1 red)


naybe you are right, that it acts funny for the first few minutes. seems to be ok now.

since i was frustrated with teh battery when it wasnt charging, i decided to fly it for a few minutes. either i got a heli that was set up well from the "tester", or coming from a fixed pitch heli, and a CP PRO, i dont know what a "god heli' is.

after checking setup again, i only added 15 percent expo, like most magazine articles are doing. no drifting, no slop, no nothing. SOOO MUCH BETTER THAN MY MICRO HELIS super smooth low speed flying. some side, amd a little bit of nose in. very SMOOTH HELI! flys perfect for me. i dont need a TREX for my "scale" flying.

Many of the charger issues I've had and also friends have had is using too small of a power supply. If you're hooking it up to a 12v battery make sure it's at least capable of 3 amps minimum. Those lantern battery's don't work. Also, alot of people think they can use the cx power supply to run the charger, this also creates a bunch of headaches. Once again, 3amps minimum. The cx power supply is 1.5 if memory serves correct.

SOLVED!

yup the wall converter is under 3 amps. its 1.(point) something.

will return that today. as for the car battery, apparently i must have been confused in my excitement, which one was the good battery, and which one was the faulty year old one (both are same brand and the older one looks brand new.


:P

i retract my current grumblings about eflights charger. but i still cannot beleive the balance charger wires have pulled off allready, when i have done my best to pull from the connector only when disengaging from the charger, hopefully the shop has a fix.
