Audacity Models Pantera 50 - Tiger 50 > figured it out, finally - Tiger shudder

After a long time of flying my Tiger, I finally figured out what the spool down shudder was due to. This was after I had replaced mainshaft and bearings...

I could barely hear/feel a slight tick, when I grabbed the head and moved it front to rear. Of course, this shouldn't exist. It shouldn't move. I determined it was the top shaft bearing moving a fractional bit.

Just on a whim, I decided to tighten all the bolts that hold the bearings, and the mainframes together.

Either I never got them tight enough, or over time they give a little. I don't know. But I tightened them down a good bit, and now the play is gone completely, and so is the shudder/wobble.

I'm a happy camper.

Maybe this will help someone else.

I may not be able to turn a kit into a plane, but I can turn a plane into a kit...
