I started off with a fp single blade heli, it flew terribly, and still does, then I went to a blade cp, when setup correctly it can fly good and be a ton of fun, but it gets very twitchy and can sometimes be very tricky to fly when not set up just right

I now fly a Trex 450sa and it is sweet to fly, no bad habbits or control issues, lots of fun when I can go to a park or field to fly,

I bought a Blade cx2 for inside my garage in the winter and calm evenings in the summer, due to the blade cp being a little squirly but I like something small for under the trees in the front yard and in small places in the back yard. Trouble is the cx2 gets a little boring, there is no challenge to it.

I am thinking soon I would like to get rid of my cx2 and my blade cp and get something that is easy and consistent and small that I can fly indoors in the winter but enough cyclic and control to fly outside in mild weather. I have been looking at the Hirobo Quark or the Gaui 200, both seem like fun heli's, the quark would be nice for relaxing flying and the Gaui would keep my skill level up during the winter.

What small heli's are others using and why do you like them.

Thanks for any ideas

the Gaui 200 is pretty sweet, but "dangerous" for indoor house flying, but perfect for a small gym or larger garage. personally if you want a indoor winter heli just to play with I would look at the walkera 4#3, it is realy small but it is perfect for in home flying, downsides are it will not do any 3D, but it will keep the basic skills sharp, the Gaui 200 would be my choice if I wanted to go for more advanced skills, but Knowing it might not be a living room flyer unless you really drop the headspeed.

I think that was Nick's Gaui flying in his garage, what he calls flying a heli is different then what I call flying a heli. I will never be at his level on my best day ever.

I like the Gaui and I guess I was thinking the headspeed could be turned down and the pitch brought up and just do gentle flying in a small space. Haven't talked to anyone that has one to see if it is practical. If it is then that would give me something for in the winter but able to take outside when weather is decent.

I like the Hirobo because it looks easy to fly and yet can actually get some forward flight speed. I will check out the Walera 4#3.

Thanks, Van

if you want a heli that can fly in all places, home, garage, gym and outdoors then go for the Gaui! yes you can tame it down, it is perfect for small gym, and it is small enough to do small ciruits in a large room,(but headspeed can do some drywall damage indoors) it can be taken out doors. A Trex is really too big for indoor and even a garage is too small for anything but hovering. but it does great outdoors. the 4#3 is really perfect for indoor home flying it is so small you can sit on the couch and do some real flying in a 10x10 room, but will get lost outdoors. all of these will be a compromise someplace, so really decide just what is more important, the home fly or outdoors, and do you really want to do tricks in the garage or just circles and piro's, @ $100 the 4#3 is cheap, the Gaui is a bit pricey compaired, as for the CX2 the 4#3 will be so much more fun
