OK I'm new to this so bare with me. I thought I would try my first scale project and this is it. Funkey 500E trex600 mechs yadayadayada, I've been reading all the posts on this combination for some time so I guess you're all familiar with the finer details of this type of job. what do you think.

Very nice paint job. I just bought the Funkey MD500 yellow fuselage. I thought it came with the Cable Cutters but did not. Did you kit have them?

The cable cutters came from TT as did the rocket pods, the extra anntenas came from a 21st century toy little bird

Funny you should mention that. I'm currently taking my first trex 600 and fitting it into this. Wind of wings belgian army A109 ba. The quality of the fuselage is nice as are the details. The kit comes with every thing windsheild wipers and all the anntenas to the weapon sys and the weapon sight. The decal set is for an actual aircraft I beleive is still in service. It can be viewed on Airliners.net Agusta 109 Military only Belgian Army H38

NO, I took a chance and bought it through E-Bay from a dealer called Silvan 175. the deck is all marked out for the drill points for a trex and I was looking for something a little out of the norm for my next endever. An armed A 109 seemed to fit the bill. He also sells an armed AS350 like they fly in the Netherlands which was pretty cool.

well bigduke, this fuseage i know real well, i love it but i must warn you about somethings first the landing gear broke after the second landing! all the plastic pieces that come with this kit are poorly made and break easly. my landing gear was first, then the sturts for the weapons so i rebuilt the landing gear and struts out of lite weight metal and had no problem since. now building it was very easy even tho the manual sucks it wasn`t hard at all and after painting and installing the full scale nav lights the whole build took me 3 days to do. after over 148 flights and rebuilding the plastic pieces i still enjoy flying my gunship at the field.also i didn`t like the over sized missels that came with the kit, so i installed a set of rocket pods and m134 miniguns with feed belt to give it a real cool look then the missils

Thanks for the heads up on the plastic, Ya I thought it was a little cheesy too, I'll definatly keep an eye on those parts. The big missiles? Thet're junk to, I've got a set of fairly scale rocket pods and am making up a set of 20mm gun pods I believe will fit right onto the hard points.
Did you have to cut a slot in the fuse to get the mechs in?
And let me not be rude. NICE LOOKIN HELI YOU GOT THERE!!!!

Any reason why you did'nt use the sighting sys on your bird? It just seems to add that purposefull look the same way the weapon stores do.

hey there bigduke to your quetions, i did make a cut in the fuse so that i could sperd the fus wide enough with out breaking it to put the mech,in it but when you put the front half on it and screw everything in you cant even see the cut line in the fuse.and as for the flir system the was to go on the top i just didnt like the way it looked when flying so i kept it off i think it looks great without it! but if you have any ? feel free to hit me up i would be glad to help with what ever you have a problem with.right now i have the scale bird apart im installing a scale 4 bladed head on it right now and ill try to post a video of it flying with my scale nav lights sometime tomorrow.

Yeah mercs are sensitive from all the tenderizing.
I have to admit mercs throw the best parties.

BTW where did you get your fuses? I really want to set up one of my 450's with a nice scale body but I'm not all that happy with what I've seen.

450 fuse

We,re only tenderized from being in the front all the time.
My first scale fuse is a Hughes 500E from Century, the second is the fore discused Agusta 109 it came through an Ebay dealer made by a company called Wind of Wings. Both are 50(600)sized fuselages, I don't have any experiance in 450 size helis but in looking around My preferance is for the kits from Heli Artist.
