Hi, I am setting up my new T-rex 500 with my DX6i, just wondering i can get a AR7000 DSM2 for the same price as a AR6200. Should i get the AR7000 instead of the AR6200. Will the channels be setup differant on the AR7000 and does it matter that i am using a 6 channel radio with a 7channel RX.

Thankyou,
Jirra.

It will work.

It will be of no benefit since you can't use the extra channel.

It will take up more space and be heavier (not much)

Setup and binding are identical.

I run the 6200's in my 450s

Totally agree with one consideration to add,
You may want that 7th chnl later when you upgrade to a 7 chn radio. If they are the same price Id take the small weight hit and get the 7

Thanks for the advice, would the servo,s and gyro be plugged in differantly to the AR7000 in regards to the AR6200. Can i use the seventh channel to power lights or a logger.

Thanks,
Jirra.

Channel layout is identical.

Yes you can use the empty channel for something like that.
