| Yeah, I can probably patch up the canopy. The grommet holes are pretty damaged on one side. Bummed about that. I do have another canopy that was on the bird when I got it, with the original pilots name and team on it.
The pipe is bent upwards at about a 45 degree angle from the mount. Luckily the engine seems unscathed, but the socket screws were out about 1/4 an inch around on the mounting flange.
All the electronics seem to be ok. The damage seems to be purely mechanical.
The servo arms broke before the 8717's did. Crown gear is shot, all bevel gears in the tail are toast. Both frames are broken. I wasn't running the hyperdrive, so just the stock tail bits. Radix 710s and 105s, boom, boom supports, tail rotor control rod all slicy-dicey. Main shaft, spindle shaft, and tail rotor shaft all bent. Surprisingly, the V paddles seem to be ok. 4mm custom hirobo flybar setup is bent and tweaked, and the flybar cage may be tweaked, but I can get the Synergy 4mm stuff now. Skids and skid tubes broken and highly warped.
When it hit, the lipo shot forward and unplugged itself. It did a nice funky chicken for 30-60 seconds before a buddy and I could get there and yank the fuel lines. The snapped off boom made a nice prod to hold the beast down while we ripped out her heart.
I've had a good run of luck not crashing for a while, it was bound to happen as I pushed myself further. I've seen my flyin buddies crash many times, so my time was up to put on a thudshow. It was painful, but I love the beast, so she'll get shiny new parts and head back into the sky where she belongs...
I'll have jitters, I'll be careful, I'll get over it, I'll push the edge, and I'll either succeed, or she'll pile into the ground again and get rebuilt yet again hehehe.
Nothing left to do but smile smile smile
One thing's for sure, I absolutely love my Synergy.
