the "other" way

Years ago I bought an X347 in the US, hoping that I could change the stick mode. For some weird reason the US marketed version had quite a few functions deactivated : stick modes, CCPM, etc. As it was before the internet and it was not as easy as now to find the way to enter the system menu, I just opened the case and either moved or resoldered the potentimeters so it would be a mode 1 radio, without loosing all the programing functions.
Of course that voided the warranty and I would not recommend doing that if you are not trained to do proper solder joints (that's my job btw).
Still, it sounds incredible that the menu does not allow the change!

Can't wait to go back to Bergamo : what a beautiful place!

Yes, been there for a couple of days on business. I had a full day to walk around both the higher old town and the lower one. Limoncello on a terrasse with a nice view over the Alps : perfect!
I found on other forums that the potentiomenter switch might be done by the service dept. Might ask you LHS if they could do it for you, if indeed there is no SW ways of doing it?

LHS

Local Hobby Shop/Store.

Basically the place where you buy it from.

Sadly no plan to go to Bergamo soon, but I promised my Wife I'd take her there, she loves Italy.

Jk.

I am glad that I did not order my new car from England. I will be driving in the right side.

Qrrambero : lucky you then! I am sure it was a tough decision "Rover, right hand drive, or Chrysler left hand drive??Oh noo, what to do!! "
Seriously, if Rover (R.I.P) had continuously produced car that by easy software change could be either left hand drive or right hand drive, you would be surprise if their latest model did not incorporate the function. Right?

Maybe worth waiting for the next SW upgrade of the 12X?

HIGHLY unlikely that the 12X will ever do Modes 3 & 4. They never did it for the 10X and as far as JR are concerned, the market is very small in comparison to Mode 1 & 2.

I am a little confused by the manual on the 8 points curves. Are the horizontal points pre-defined (equally spaced) OR does the STOR come on whenever the stick is not on an existing point and ERAS when on an existing point ?

OK,

I have to ask a stupid question (I excel at these).

I know what Mode I and Mode II are.

What are Modes III and IV?

Thank you all in advance.

Mode 3 is a left handed mode 2 , ie throttle and rudder on the right , mode 4 is a left handed mode 1 , ie aileron and throttle on the left !

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

4Stroker,

I believe that is the case, ie

Unfortunately I don't have a 12X here to confirm, but am relying on my memory.
