When setting up for fly bar less I noticed the input from the swash to the grips is 90* form each other. Does that make a diffrance on my servos? Will I need to switch my elevator and aileron servos on my RX?
Just looking at it doesn't look like the the inputs from the disk will be right, or maybe I am just crazy!!!

Do you mean the lavers are moving the wrong direction?
do you have the easy panel installed? might want to look at it.
It guides you through setup step by step.

All I did was remove all the hardware in the 1st pic and put in size adjusted links that go from the swash strait to the grips. I figured the length by centering my pitch servo bringing my swash up to flat pitch (0*). I installed a blade with my pitch gage set at 0*. Then adjusted my links to fit. Since I did not have a fly bar to align the gage off of I used the bottom of the head button(may not be perfect but it will get me close). Then I did all my pitch curves they are set at +12 to -12. It was the easiest time I ever had doing curves (and I checked every thing from every angle and it all looked good). As you can tell it is not completely back together. I had a RX issue that put it down HARD. After it is back in the air I will keep you posted on how it is flying and anything else that had to be done to keep it stable.

As you can see I removed the end of the wash out arm that went to the fly bar. Then reinstalled the wash out assembly. I then added a 5mm brash bushing to keep the wash out from dropping so low that it falls from the head guides. It still allows me to get my full +/- 10* of pitch. Without the bushing it could fall below the guides if you had full neg pitch with full fwd or aft ele witch I have been known to do quite often.

If my mod on the X-Cell works like I hope it does this one will be my next project to take bar less. This one is my baby, its Gohbee Stinger w/OS Hyper 50, all metal head and working on a all metal tail.

Thanks for your tips, I've made some progress on my X-Cell 1005 gasser.
I cut a open on the Align washout hub and drill/threaded so I can lock it out on the shaft.
Still need some tweak here and there but it's almost done.
Here's some pictures.

Can you tell this is X-cell 1005 gasser? I've converted it to eCCPM.
Waiting for the test fly...(in few weeks)

Did you build that entire front deck for your servos? I like how it is set up. I have wanted to mod mine an change it to the eCCPM and use the new 140* swash that is no the Vibe 50. If you built that would you tell me how you did it? A buddy I fly with has a few with the 120* and they seem to be more controlled that my 90*s. From what I hear about the nwe 140* it is more acrobatic in flight and stable at a hover that what is out now.

Yes, I did all that, rough job tho. This is the first cut and I'm still adjust my drawing. Cut it by laser cutter with Acetal sheet. Not airborne yet so don't know the result. But I've tuning my engine on the bench and I don't see any issue with it.
I'm sure it can be setup to support 140 swash, that was my first thought. But I just want to wait to see the result on the 120 before hand.
I'm awaiting my CNC router to be arrived soon. That I can cut the 2nd version of my drawing and test it. I'll post more pictures later.
PM me for the detail of the drawing.

Regards,

PS, Here's the 3D view of the front end

Just FYI,

For sportflying its ok to do mod on MA plastic grips, but if you start pushing them they will bend and it will fly like c...p.

See my mods using QuickUK grips for raptor 90, even plastic raptor grips is better.

MrMel,

Thanks for the head up. Is that direct fit by using QuickUK grips?
Can you post some pictures?
Thinking get a Kasama grips for X-cell but not sure if it's direct fit.

See my whole "testing" thread here:

Still listed as "soon" on Kasama's site, but if your not in a hurry you could probably wait for it.
