What does the fly bar do for the helio? What will happen if it's removed? Is there a right way to do it? The birds I have seen with out them just look so much cleaner with out having them installed!!!!!

The short version is, they provide power steering for the cyclic controls, and impart gyroscopic stability to the rotor system.

Flybarless are cool but they don't come cheap. The mikado vbar is something like 699

That was very informative. Can I remove the paddles and leave the bar in place and get the same results and performance as flying a head with out having a fly bar installed? This way if I don't like the way it preforms I can just reinstall every thing and keep on going. From what I read it's the paddle not the bar and linkage?

You might want to scan the threads on Flybarless Systems here on RR.
