Hi guys

It is never too hot for the heli.

We fly here in Dubai all summer. Most days it gets up to 45 deg C. Thats 113F. It drains you completely and you need lots of water and you sweet 'just a little'.

The motors run cool enough, but seem to lack power.

Paul

One of the "bad" things that makes people cringe is flying "hot and high" - meaning high altitude, and hot.

I fly my Evo 50 hot & high all the time. Over 105 degrees F, and more than a mile in altitude. And There are people in New Mexico who fly them even hotter & higher than I do.

Hi

Yea, i know what you mean.
Flying in Dubai in summer gives a density alt of about 3000'.
I used to fly in Johannesburg. In summer the temp would increase the density alt to about 8000'.
I flew a friends Evo90 in Johannesburg recently, it performance was about the same as my Evo50 in in Dubai....

I do the same thing - how long I stay out flying is directly related to how much water I have. It's amazing how much more tolerable heat is when you're well hydrated.

Conversely, it's amazing how bad heat makes you feel when you don't have enough water.
