| I have both and both serve a purpose for me. The T500 is out of the box a 3D machine. The Hurricane H550 is a bit bigger and it wins on smoothness and out of the box can only do mild 3D because of power and wooden blades. I am learning everything on the H550 as it is cheaper to do all my noob 3D and earth smashing routines, when I can prevent the smashing part I do it on my T500. The H550 is much cheaper on parts average $30-$50, for the T500 its basically $100 per crash with carbon blades.
If you don't crash much, get the T500 but if your learning to do tricks the H550 cant be beat for its size and smoothness.
As far as batteries, both heli can run similar size packs. 2200-3300 6s packs however you need 2x 3s on H550 unless you get the carbon frame. Basically I share batteries on both Heli except for the 8SA123 on the Hurricane. |
