Will it work? From what I can tell the head yoke is a lot wider than the EVO, and the flybar cage is a lot shorter.

That would basically make it a stock Freya - a configuration that worked well for years before the Evo was released . . . and since MRC was shipping late model X-Spec kits with both heads, it only goes to reason that not only does it work, but it's pretty simple to do as well . . .

Yes the heads are compatible, in fact, (NOT THAT I RECOMMEND DOING THIS) you can interchange everything from the Evo 50, Evo 90, XSpec, and even the Std Eagles on any of these machines if you replace the whole head from swash up. The Swash plates and spacings for them are the same as are the main shaft diameters. I've taken an XSpec head, swash, and shaft and plugged into an Evo 50, everything aligned perfectly just please don't ask why I did it

I currently run an Evo 90 full metal head on my XSpec chassis and it works fabulous.
