I am getting a gaui 550 with a Z 20 motor on a 14T and an 80 amp heliwing esc. which I hear a lot of good things about. I have (4) TrueRc 15c 2200 lipos which are new. I have tried these in my Trex S and love them They work much better than my 20C Align packs. Lots of flight time and power. I have some 30C packs on order and here is the question.

Can my new Gaui 550 fly on these 15C batteries? Has anyone tried this. My Align packs got puffy easily but my new 15C packs have not. I never really thought of trying these 15C's in the Gaui until someone said that 15C's are fine for sedate flying which is what I like to do. Can anyone verify this?

they will be iffy, if you are just learning you "might" be ok with the Z20, I would try them but check them often for the first flight! a good 25c 2500mah or better will give a huge improvement though. but since you have them try them!

Thanks concept1.

I got the Z20 for a duration set up. I'm not learning to fly but want to carry a lightweight camera. I was also thinking of making a lightweigt camera rig. With that I would have the space to add two extra batteries for flight. In that case I could run at 22 volts and double my capacity to 4400 mah and increase the amp draw potential.

BTW I lived and worked in the Warren,Hubbard,Sharon area for years. Grew up in Sharon.

AAH one of the lucky ones who got out of OHIO!!!!

For a good light weight set up, I run 2 of the FP evo 2500 3s packs, with the stock motor I got about 7 or 8 minutes, and the packs never got warm, I tried to fly my evo 2170's but they to warm for comfort. with my RCP H18 it dropped me down to 4 minutes but performance is great.
