| So I've never done a real auto before. I've tried a couple times cutting the throttle just a few feet in the air, and hang time is pretty good. I'm flying a raven 50. My questions is this:
In G4 I NEVER screw up an auto. I can bring it in perfect every time with tons of hangtime. That being said I can do that with the 450 too... In G4. Which is NOTHING like real life.
So in G4 I'm autoing a Trex 600 no problems at all. How close will this be to real life?
On a related note, I've noticed that even if I bone up an auto in G4, and waste all the headspeed up high, as long as I have some forward movement, I can bring the collective back down to speed the rotor up again, and still have lots of hangtime when I'm closer to the ground. Does that work in real life too? Or are you just boned if you drop the headspeed up high?
Guess I'm just looking for a little boost of confidence before I give this a shot and - potentially - completely destroy my new pride and joy |
