Has anyone built or seen this combination?

Was wondering what the end results have been good?

Thanks
Jeff

Your flights at the ERCHA event this past weekend were very impressive. The videos came out very well.

Heli PIC,

Could you give us more info on yours?

What Swift mechaics - Swift 16 or Carbon 550SE?

Motor & pinion?

ESC & battery packs used?

rotor speed and flight times if possible?

Have you had a chance to do more battery testing?

Sorry all, this is what happens when I do more flying than posting, I just got some thunder power 4 cell 4500mah this week so more testing under way

Century AGUSTA 109A (COAST GUARD) Swift Scale Fuselage
80A speed control
OUTRUNNER 600A PLUS, 1100kV BRUSHLESS MOTOR
530mm Funky composite grey rotor blades
11 Tooth with a 4 cell it would be around 1650 – 1700

Eagle Tree flight data recorder used this some data from the 4 flights I recorded

Flight # 1 Battery - Hyperion Lite Storm VX 4S-4350 mah
a) In Air flight time from first into hover to touchdown - 3.7 minutes
b) Average voltage during flight - only 13 volts
c) Avarage amperage during flight - 33 amps
d) Total mah consumed - 1938 mah
e) average / minute - 523 mah/minute
f) average power required - 429 watts

Flight # 2 Battery - Electric fly 4S-5000 mah
a) In Air flight time from first into hover to touchdown 3.6 minutes
b) Average voltage during flight - only 14.8Volts
c) Average amperage during flight 32 amps
d) Total mah consumed 1943 mah
e) average / minute 539 mah/minute
f) average power required 473 watts

Flight # 3 Battery - Swift Electron Battery 4S-3300 mah
a) In Air flight time from first into hover to touchdown 3.7 minutes
b) Average voltage during flight - only 14.0 Volts
c) Average amperage during flight 32.5 amps
d) Total mah consumed 1947 mah mah
e) average / minute 526 mah/min.
f) average power required 455 watts

Flight # 4 Battery - Flight Power 4S-3700 mah
a) In Air flight time from first into hover to touchdown 4.35 minutes
b) Average voltage during flight - only 14.7 Volts
c) Average amperage during flight - 32 amps
d) Total mah consumed 2432 mah
e) average / minute 559 mah/min

Battery testing

Well I tried the 5 cell and the head speed was too high with the 11 tooth so I have installed a 12 tooth in my test ship Swift which is the same as the Agusta 109 Coast Guard minus the fuselage

The 5S-3700 12 tooth gave a different feel when flying and it was a little hard to create scale flights but it was very responsive, fun to fly. The 4S batteries gave a very stable flight and were very easy to create scale flights. This is with the pod and boom swift so I’m going to install the 12 tooth in the coast guard.

I’m also running two Century Swift 4S-3300 batteries in parallel so I get 6600 mah for longer flights. I have some Thunder power 4S-4500 and they are working well.

Some of these are short flights I could have gone longer but I’m playing it safe during testing. Also some of these flights gave a little different readings and I should have tried to do the same flight each time. Was not until I was downloading the data I realized the impact it was having on the readings. I'll do better next time!!

Flight # A Battery – Flight Power 5S-3700 mah
a) In Air flight time from first into hover to touchdown - 4 minutes
b) Average voltage during flight - only 17.5 volts
c) Average amperage during flight – 31.9 amps
d) Total mah consumed - 2966 mah
e) average / minute – 741.5 mah/minute

Flight # B Battery – Flight Power 4S-3700 mah
a) In Air flight time from first into hover to touchdown - 3 minutes
b) Average voltage during flight - only 13.4 volts
c) Average amperage during flight – 32 amps
d) Total mah consumed - 2157 mah
e) average / minute – 719.5 mah/minute

Flight # C Battery – Century Swift 4S-3300 mah
a) In Air flight time from first into hover to touchdown - 4 minutes
b) Average voltage during flight - only 13.9 volts
c) Average amperage during flight – 40 amps
d) Total mah consumed - 2492 mah
e) average / minute – 623 mah/minute
